December is Here!

    Well, it has been a busy few weeks!  Our Explorer Museum went very well and we are very proud of the students and their presentations.  Some photos will be at the end of this post.  We have begun our next project on Native Americans.  This project will wrap up before Christmas Break.  We will be sending out more information but we are planning on these presentations happening on December 19th.  The students are working on this project during our work time and the groups are coming up with some pretty neat displays.  They are enjoying the building and we are excited to see what they end up writing and creating.
    Just a reminder that this grading period ends at Christmas Break.  The students have been working hard and we want them to keep it up and finish this first semester on a high note!  Thank you to all of you for your support!  Have a great week!

Election fun and PHS Play

    In the past couple of weeks we have gone back to our Election project to register and organize our Riverside Mock Election.   It was a great success and our students learned a lot about the voting process.  We were very proud of them.
    We were also able to walk to PHS on a beautiful Friday and watch the children's show, The Wizard of Oz.  It was a lot of fun and it was great to see former students entertaining our current students.
    Our current project is our Explorer Living Museum and we will be presenting these on Monday, November 21 from 12:30-2:30 in our PBL classrooms.  We hope to see some of you here!

Field Trip and Other Fun Things

     Well last week was a very fun and busy week.  We are working on our new project and finishing up our election project at the same time.  We took our annual trip to Notre Dame and it was a lot of fun.  We were very pleased with our students and their wonderful behavior.  There were a couple of other schools there at the same time and our students were so much more well behaved and we could not be more proud of them.
    This Friday we are walking to PHS to watch their version of the Wizard of Oz and that should be a fun time.  It looks like we will have beautiful weather for this little trip.
    This past week we worked on learning about our Smart Strengths and our classmates Smart Strengths.  This was a great activity that will help us as we work together this year.  Robotics has finished up in science and we are moving on to learning about the Sun and Moon.
