Well, we made it through most of the week last week. We were very glad to only have missed one day with all of that snow. 19.6 inches that was some crazy snow! The kids did a good job this week completing ACT Aspire testing. These are tests that replaced Acuity testing and are supposed to give us information and help us get the kids ready for the ISTEP test. We are please with the effort the students put into these tests.
We got down to working on our latest project this week and the groups have been working hard. We are excited to see what they come up with as they are each going to be teaching part of the class about their event and important person from the Revolutionary War. We are planning on going to PHS the week of the 24th to work with the advanced acting class. Look for more information on this coming home soon.
This week is dress up week for Relay for Life. Monday is SuperHero day, Tuesday is Crazy Hair day, Wednesday is mix and match day, Thursday is PJ day and Friday wear your team color and our team color is GREEN!!! Each day this week kids can dress up and we ask for a dollar each day they dress up to go to our school goal for Relay for Life. This was a lot of fun last year and the kids always enjoy dressing up! These different fundraisers will run through the rest of the year and will culminate at the end of the year with an awesome celebration for the entire school.
Don't forget to be reminding your students to be reading. Achieve 3000 two articles at 75% each week is still the expectation. They are really working hard at this each week. Let's hope for a good weather week! Have a good one!
